Shorty Bean and the Coin of Fire

 Christmas is a joyful time of the year, but this year it is extra special for Shorty Bean for two reasons. She will be performing in the school Christmas play and then will go to her grandparent’s cottage for winter break. But her arrival launches a series of events which bring unexpected change as lives are forever rearranged.
After dropping the coin of fire on that dreadful day on the mountain top the last time she was at her grandparent’s home, she has pondered the strange events that caused its disappearance. Now a profound mystery awaits her arrival and begins to stir in the deepest parts of the forest as new creatures emerge. Each holds information that will lead her to the missing coin.

Rosy & I had fun recording these books together and its been fun to see her grow in the process too.  In book one, I had to tell her what to say.  By the time we did book 2, she was reading her own lines, usually with very little direction from me. Thanks Holly, for this opportunity to spend time with my little girl.  We hope you enjoy Shorty & Smarty & company as much as we did.
